Dr. Jaskaran Kang

Dr. Jaskaran S. Kang, MD, FRCPC completed his undergraduate training at Queen’s University with an honours degree in Life Sciences. He went on to complete medical school at Queen’s University in 2009, followed by Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at the University of Toronto. He underwent a two-year clinical fellowship in echocardiography at St. Michael’s Hospital. Having grown up in the region, Dr. Kang’s priority was to return and provide excellent Cardiology care, locally. He joined Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s Division of Cardiology as a staff cardiologist in July 2015, and is the medical director of the clinic’s echocardiography laboratory.

He is the founding member of Georgian Cardiology. Dr. Kang’s practice includes all aspects of general Cardiology but his clinical interests include heart failure, valvular heart disease and advanced echocardiography, including transesophageal and stress echocardiography. He holds additional US certification in both echocardiography and nuclear cardiology by the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, respectively.
